Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha, better called Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is one of the popular British stage and film actress that gained fame because she was a part of the 'Doctor Who' (a British science-fiction TV show) series aired on the BBC channel. Gugu was famous due to her role as Tish Jones. This was the character's sister. Gugu was destined for a career in acting after her fans fell in love with her cheerful spontaneity. The other stage and TV shows in Britain include many others. Her work has been critically acclaimed due to her stellar performance in "Belle," (2013) which is a British period drama and Beyond the Lights (2014) which is a romantic comedy. She also appeared in American TV productions such as "Undercover", a Tom Hanks comedic movie, and the series "Touch". Gugu was the lead character of Jessica Swale's play in 2015, "Nell Gwynn", as an actress and mistress to the king Charles II. Critics praised her for acting and nominated her for the Evening Standard Theatre Award. Gugu also received the Member of the Order of the British Empire award (MBE) from Queen Elizabeth II for her outstanding performance in the production.
Chelsea Joy Handler was born on the 25th of February, 1975, in Livingston, New Jersey. She was the eldest child within a household of six. Handler's father was a used auto dealer, as was her mother was a housewife. Her mother came to America in the year 1958 in the form of an immigrant from Germany. Her diagnosis was cancer of the breast in 1989. Her father was Jewish so she brought up Reform Judaism. Handler enjoyed a happy good, healthy and safe childhood within a thriving neighborhood. At the age of 19 She made the move into Los Angeles, California to explore a career in acting. Handler was an actor in order to support herself. Her ability to tell stories was uncovered when she reached twenty-one. Handler then decided to devote her full-time career to stand up comedy. Her career began as an actress in an all-female cast in the Oxygen channel's reality-TV show Girls acting poorly. The show was an amalgamation of hidden cameras and practical comedy. Between 2002 and 2005, the show was aired. Handler then started appearing in several other shows like Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was also a the correspondent for The Tonight Show. Handler's big break occurred in 2006, when she began hosting her show on E! called The Chelsea Handler show. The show ran during two consecutive seasons. In the following year, Handler performed on the Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have shown Handler's stand-up performances. In 2010, she was tapped for the role of host at 2010. MTV Video Music Awards.
